The Great Hershal!

For those who have never seen my baby Hershal, this is for you. :]
Two Christmas ago I got Hershal as a gift from my parents. He came from our local pet shop. Age was around three, or so the people said. Lived in a small tank with hardly any room.. Now he's plump and living it great!

He's adorable. What sized tank do you keep him in? I've been really thinking about getting one some time in the future & have been reading lots about them. I've read 40-60 gallon tanks would work but don't want to get anything too big or too small.

Are you on Blue Tongue Skinks.net? Cause those pictures look so familiar?! Ya, I want a BTS, and so I called a importer/breeder here and theirs are wild caught adults, and of course don't know the age. So you could get one and have it die soon after. Not to mention, I would feel so bad taking a animal that's been roaming freely and housing it in a tank :s. So unfortuantly for now, my BTS obsession is on hold. Love yours! Look how cute he is! :heart:

Hershal is housed in a 55 gallon tall. He has plenty of space.
I think that BTS are really easy to care for, and their fun to feed! :]

Yea, they seem like they'd be pretty easy to care for. I know my fire skink certainly is, even if he won't let me touch him XD
