Thankyou Marcia, the other problem thought is their Floor temp on the Hot side doesnt get hot enough without an overhead light. Im thinking their pads are going bad, I ordered new ones. the hottest it gets is 83-84.but i dont think thats not too bad. Ive been leaving their lights off so I'll just continue to. At any rate baby girl is doing so freakin awesome!!!

Joyce, we all know you are doing great and applaud you for that. She looks great and very healthy.

have you tried a piece of cardbourd under the heatpad to direct the heat upwards while keeping the room temp from dropping the pad's temp.

I assure you I have run UTH since the late 80's with no air gap and never had a problem with overheating.

I didnt know that the Air temp could mess with the temp, It makes sense though since the problem started around the cooler months. I even have them both on Thermostats up as high as they'll go.

Thankyou for the Compliment Paul.

Here are the Last pictures Taken Today, She looks almost as good as new. No light other than the Glass sliding door is being used now.

She's looking great!

Perhaps the original light bulb was faulty (gave off different kind of rays or something)? I have never heard of a UV light doing something like that......that's crazy.

Its a poissibility it could have been Faulty. Either way It was enough for me to be detered from using lights on her at All. My other Leo I use just a regular exoterra Dayglo bulb with no issues.
