So I made a post a while ago about all the millions of toad eggs in my pond. Well they hatched and prolly 75% of them have become little baby toads. This happens every year. You walk down near the edge of the pond and the ground starts hopping! They can be found all over the garden, the driveway... even found a spy lurking in the basement. We have some seriously fat and happy garter snakes Im sure.
I believe the toads have made a pact with the red winged black birds. I had to take these pictures while the birds harassed me.... the male was literally fly in small circles a few feet above me getting ready to peck my eyes out. The entire time I was near the pond they were chirping angrily at me! Actually they had a baby they were raising so I can understand but geeez! They were acting like friggin geese!
All the little black things are toads.
One of the 3 foot grass carp... sorry for the crappy picture was far away.
Some of the tadpoles that have yet to transform.
