I put my male in with my female...it was so weird to see for the first time Mister rapidly shake his tale I was worried he was dropping his tale :shocked2: Then I found out he was just claiming his territory :main_laugh:. I have posted a lot of pics under this (just a warning). He is a Hypo tangerine carrot tail and she is a Blazing Blizzard.

By the way are they suppose to be in the same hide or not, because he is under the cut out log and she is in the clear hide.
Thanks,
Aaron

Well, my males have always shown agression towards the girls at first, but it's always an "I'm the MAN of the tank" show that doesn't last very long. He'll rise up, shake his tail, and maybe even bite at her shoulders. But after half and hour to an hour they're both back to sleeping. This is why I think it's riddiculous to join geckos for half an hour to an hour a day for a few days to breed, because it takes them that long just to get comfortable with each other. I rather have them room together for a couple weeks... in MY experience (everyone has different experiences) my geckos need to "bond" before they do anything.

And it's fine if they don't want to sleep in the same hide at first. Again, mine usually have to "bond" before they're sleeping cuddled up together.
