Is this bad for my gecko? Also, my gecko is very tiny. I measured Pepper and s/he is only 3.75" including the whole tail. The only thing Pepper is able to eat so far are small mealworms, the smallest kind available at petco. I'm sure s/he likes them, but are these okay until s/he is big enough to eat crickets? Right now they are too fast and she too small to eat them, so after a minute or so I always take the cricket out... Thank you very much!

you need the same type and brand except fot leos.there is a pic of a leos orange head on the bottle or bag.How old is your leo.your leo can eat medium sized prey already.

OOOOOH, I see. My leo is really tiny, I don't know how hold though. I would be feeding crickets, but they are too fast I think. I'll try again tonight though! Thank you.

Big 10 inch tweezers so you can hand feed a pinhead cricket to your little gecko.

Ooooh, lol. Pinhead crickets, that fits nicely. I'll try to get one! Fingers crossed about getting a UTH tomorrow for baby Pepper. That overhead heat lamp is going out the window! Not really. Back to my bro's baby bearded dragon. Pepper is eating well still and is active at night, and I just setup a moist hide lined with moist paper towels if Pepper needs to shed soon. I feel kinda proud right now, like I am starting out well for once. I hope Pepper is with me for a long time! Thanks so much for your help.

If you want to feed meal worms then just feed them solely. You don't have to feed crickets or anything else unless you want to. If you start feeding with a tong then your geckos may get accustomed to eating from them. You may have difficulties getting them to eat without the tongs. Not saying it's a guaranteed thing but it is possible. What your doing is perfectly fine.

That is incorrect. The species labels are only for marketing purposes, they all contain the same formula. If it says Calcium Plus that's what it is regardless of what animal is on the label.

Justindh1 - thank you! Well, pepper ate 8 mealworms for breakfast today, small dinner for her. I dust 2 mealworms slightly in the calcium powder every other day, is this enough? Thank you very much though.
Tony C - if this is true, you just saved me $6! Yay! I'll go look up the formula now.
Just wanted to say because I'm very pleased with my gecko... I held Pepper for about 7 minutes this morning! And she just sat in my hand for the most part, soaking up the warmth. Then she started moving around a lot and trying to scurry across my bed, so I gently put her back in her tank. But I'm very excited! Pepper is uber duper cute.

The ICB's are all the same. Only the labels are different at the request of stores that wanted species specific products to make sales a no brainer. All the T-Rex products are the same thing as Calcium Plus... though I have made some recent tweaks in the forumula that might not be sold through at the retail stores. Thanks for the kind words.

I have made some significant changes since that thread was created on my website three years ago. My product that I sell is NOT the same as any of the T-Rex products that are using my old formula and still putting my name on. If you want the current formula and guaranteed freshness, you should buy it direct from my dealers in the bags or the 5.3 ounce jar.

That's good to know. So the T-Rex products are still one formula regardless of labeling, but are not the same as your current offering, correct?
