found a great find today in the classifieds, 40gal reptile tank same foot print as a 20g long but twice as high with vents in the center of the sides, for only $10 with a screen lid, called and got it right away:main_thumbsup:

after talking to the fiancee we decided to make it a center peice, and want to do some sort of theme in it, the bottoms going to be tile but with the option of repti carpet on it, they have a green and a tan stuff that looks like sand here. we've thrown around a few ideas like a beach theme with tiki huts and palm trees, etc, a ruins theme like Greek, atlantis, or like Buddhist temple ruins(only thing i could think of native to their area), maybe a desert lagoon, even the idea of a small town and make her look like godzilla:main_laugh: . were just looking for something fun to look at even when she's hiding while still have plenty of room and things for her to crawl around on, its going to be a 2 story or atleast 1/2 a second story. just looking for ideas here.

Well this may be a stupid idea but I was thinking of getting a second level. Making a item such as a staircase way like in the water parks. Then Make get like popsicle sticks to souround one side of the second floor. Then the other side you can get like pvc tubes and make a water ride. At the end of the tubes there would be your water bowl that would be like the pool. Since you have a pretty big of a tank I don't really think the humidity will be a problem with a size like a small tuppawear container. Well I thought that at the top of my head, but just giving some ideas as you said.

Themes are fairly difficult to achieve. Jungle theme would probably be the easiest, desert would probably be the most natural. My advice would be to find one company to buy all your hides and fake plants from, because they make all of their items to match eachother. Then once youve decided which company you want to go with head to lowes and pick up matching tile. Zoo med and exo terra are the only companies i know of that sell almost complete sets that match.

Don't forget that the fish department on your local petstore offers a plethora of themed objects for your tank. We have these nifty "broken" Egyptian urns and the like at my store that I've considered getting for my gecko, but I think I've just about run out of room! D:

my plan was to make the majority of it expecially the hides and backgrounds, and if i did any type of ruins or something of that sort i was going to search thru the fish supplies and find some of the more detailed stuff or just make that as well. the beach theme was kinda inspired by all the stuff they sell for hermit crabs,

i've been researching trying to find anything interesting in their native area that would be neat as far as any ancient empires or temples or anything, have found much of interest yet.

i has a aladdin theme subjested but im not sure about that one, also thought about a mideval setup kinda like a castle and dragon type thing but i dont like that one so much either, i think ill probably end up going with a rock outcropping or sometype of oasis theme or a mix of the two.
