Thermastats with timers?

Can anyone give me any suggestions on a thermastat with a timer? I would like to have a device that regulates the temperature (without manually doing it) & yet will turn the lights on & off at set times. Any ideas? This may not be a possiblility as the heat is coming from a basking light.

Thanks, Melissa

You'll have to control the heat source and light source separately.

The solution I came up with was to keep the UTH 24-7 on thermostat control, and provide a separate (non-heat generating) light on the timer. If your only source of heat is the overhead heat lamp, then it must be available to regulate the temperature 24-7, so manually or automatically turning THAT off will defeat the temperature control.

I have had no trouble in a year and a half leaving the basking light on all day for light and heat and turning it off at night resulting in a temp drop. My beardie seems to be thriving. The ambient temp is probably in the mid to upper 60's.

Ok. I guess once I have the positions right & the right size bulb I should be okay. I am still waiting for my cage to be done so once I get it I can try different things till I get it right. Thanks for your help.
