i just got my thermostat in the mail today, and the directions are kind of confusing me. i just have a few questions

1. do i have to hang the thermostat on the wall? the point is to have it ventilated but if just lay it down on the desk it will be ventilated. this is okay?

2. can i leave the thermostat plugged in constantly? it says something on the directions about leaving it in for 5-7 hours, but then the directions cut off and there is not a 2nd piece of paper. just making sure that it is not trying to tell me that i need to unplug the thermostat or anything.

questions sound pretty stupid, but im just not trying to harm my leos by a malfunctioning thermostat!
thanks :)

The thermostat does not need to be ventilated. The information to help the thermostat regulate the temperature is coming from the probe which should be put in the cage in a place where you're measuring the hottest temperatures.

I'm guessing that the instructions were telling you to allow the thermostat 5-7 hours to regulate itself. It stays on all the time.

Feel free to ask again if there's something more you want to know.
