THIS IS MY FIRST FORUM POSTING EVER. So I apologize If this is not up to par.

I have a tremper girl with 2 different eyes. My digital camera wont capture it as well as I wish.
One eye is completely clear, no pupil. CLEAR as glass! and you can see right into her eyeball. Other eye is a normal tremper albino eye.... I took some pictures....

Has anyone ever seen this? Feel free to email me too. [email protected]

THIS IS NOT A JOKE, I KNOW MY PICS ARE BAD, BUT THAT EYE LOOKS LIKE A GLASS MARBLE.

I have 16 geckos, and I've never seen anything like this.

Try getting a better pic.. that pic looks like flash to me. It happens to me all the time when I take photos of my geckos.

It is hard to comment because the eye photo shows white, not clear...
Take care. hj

It's not the flash, Everytime I look at her, I can see right through it. My camera isn't suffient, but I took pictures of both eyes. In the same light, I just took both pictures a few minutes ago. Her eyes always look like that.

I know the eye look white in the picture. Sorry about that, but I promise it is clear, and it reflects the flash, THE PUPIL IS COMPLETELY CLEAR. I don't know if this is a mutation, or a morph. She hunts fine, She is less than a year old. She does act a little different then my rest but I want to know if this is a medical issue or something possibly rare.

omg...i'm not here to play games!! i'm dead serious. I have a crappy sony digitital camera that's 10 years old. It's 1:43 am where I am. The eye is clear, and without the flash, it still wont be visible. I tried the best with the pictures.

Please, if you're going to doubt me, don't reply. I'm waiting to talk to a serious expert

no one here is doubting you everyone is trying to help you by asking for a better photo just so we can make a better observation of this being an eye mutation or the one eye just being blind the best thing you can do is take a few photos no matter how crappy the camera is we will get a better idea with no flash in the eye so take a couple in a room with sufficient light and put them up close up shots and shots from a few inches away and we will all do our best to help you out take care

Not trying to be snarky, but if you feel it may be a medical issue why not take it to a veterinarian? A veterinarian would be a "serious expert"

No one here has doubted you or accused you of playing games; they are trying to help you in the best way they can by asking for a better picture. Maybe try again in the daylight without flash.

that's a gecko with a medical issue. a vet will explain what the problem is

Thanks everyone!! I will take more pictures now. I know it's been this way since it's birth. I appreciate the advice. It makes sense that it could be blind, I've just never seen a blind gecko. Has anyone else ever seen one, or does anyone have an image of one so I can compare them?

Bobby, to take a better pic without a good camera, all you need to do is provide a ton of light in the room with the gecko. Sit near a desk with a bright lamp on it, or go outside in the day light(which would be best).

Almost all digital cameras have a NO FLASH feature in the menu or as a button right on the camera. If yours does not, just place a small piece of electrical tape over it to stop it from affecting the shot. Do not press down on the tape as electrical tape adhesive can be a pain to get off sometimes. Or just tape a piece of paper with regular scotch tape. Either way it'll work. Sunlight is your best friend for providing all natural light and quality pictures with a less than high-end camera.

Four new pictures of the Gecko, and upon further inspection, only the pupil (the part that is usually a black vertical line) is clear, It does look amazing, and it looks different then the ones that have a blind eye. Her eye is perfectly healthy looking. It's just a clear pupil. Please add your thoughts, as I don't think she is blind. vacs 005.jpg vacs 007.jpg vacs 002.jpg vacs 003.jpg

I hereby withdraw any statement about this morph I previously called "clear eyes" and I announce this statement: I am not an expert in this field and now I have an expert involved. If this morph did exist, I'd probably call it "Bobby eyes",after my son, or "ohio eyes". I would not just call it "clear eyes". But I am pulling back from all gecko boards and this discussion until genetics are proven........ Will the Leo world be shaken? I guess noone will know for another year, or maybe we should wait 2 years?

my theory being that tissue behind the pupil is not absorbing much if any light.... Would explain the reflective effect in the pictures
