Thinking of getting cresties.

I was thinking of getting some crested geckos and i have some questions.

1 I've heard that they don't need a heat lamp, is this true?

2 I'm thinking of using a 18x18x24 exo terra terrarium. will this be to small?

3 Is spaghngum moss an okay substrate?

4 are they tolorant of handling?

5 when you guys post what do things like 1.7 leopad geckos mean???

1) They can, but depending on your house temperature you may need a small one to keep temps up to the minimum they need.
2) Is that the large, x-large, or xx-large. I think smaller than a large is too small.
3) I believe it is but over here we use Eco-Earth
4) They are when you've handled them enough and they get older and calmer, though some will always be spazzes.
5) It means Males.Females.Unsexed.Eggs

WEll if you do decide to get a crestie I'd say you made a great choice because they are excellent pets. 18x18x24 might be a little too big for a hatchling crested but as long as its finding its food it should be fine, I wouldn't use spaghngum moss if your feediding crickits or anything live because they may become impacted but I know some people who do. If you do i'd at least wait until your gecko is a juvi, I just use paper towel and its worked great for me. About the handling it really depends on the gecko all of them i've bought so far were pretty tame when I got them except for 1, but with frequent handling he has calmed down alot.
