So i have have this African Fat Tail egg incubating since 8/30/10 @ 84'F. It is about to hatch soon, so i peak in the cup to check on the egg, and it is HUGE (its hard to tell the size difference with the picture i posted)!!! At first I though "twins??" ...I candled it, it still is fertile and I only see on gecko in their.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Does anyone know why this happens?

came out the size of a 2 week old gecko, but they dont seem to be growing much bigger then their brothers

I will post pictures once it hatches. I was also told that eggs grow like this because the pressure become high inside..hopefully that wont effect the gecko..

when incubating fat tail eggs for female 60 days is usually the longest they will be in there..any longer and, for the most part, something has gone bad...today is day 67 and the egg started deflating and sweating (which is never a good sign in my case with fat tail eggs)...so i cut it open..and i found a half way developed dead gecko.
