Three strikes you're out!?!?!

I'm heading out of town for a couple of days so I was checking on everyone and making sure they had plenty of water and food, first opening up each tub to fill water bowls, second to fill food bowls and third to fill calcium dishes. Well this little beauty desided on the third time she was going to attack.

Notice the bigger than life attitude she's got in these pics. Well just before I took these I had a flying gecko!! She's housed in a 6qrt and was all the way in the back, and came flying out with one leap and landed head first into her water bowl that was in the front of the tub. She got a mouth full of water and didn't seem all too pleased. LOL This gives a whole new meaning to my sign that says "Beware of Attack Geckos"!! I felt like I was opening up a tub with a ticked off snake in it the way she came out at me. :main_rolleyes:

LOL I just noticed you can see a drop of water on her bottom jaw from her landing in th water. I think I will name her Pissy. LOL

hahahaha, I think it's funny when they try to attack.
I had a hatchling that did this triple bounce hiss thing at me and I wasn't expecting it so it scared the crap out of me and almost made me drop her enclosure!
But then I laughed at myself because it was so funny that it freaked me out.

They have LOTS of sass!

My chahoua is like that if I go into his enclosure to get him. I have to pray he's on his cork bark so that I can just pick his bark up and grab him from the back.
Or he'll bite. He doesn't hiss, he just bites.

The only thing that got me was that it was a straight leap not a few jumps. Had she gone another 1-2 inches she would have been out of the tub and on the floor!!

haha my little ones get me all the time i guess i stay on edge from handling and feeding my boas so every time my baby geckos screech and jump i yank my hand out like they are a 7ft boa they get me every time. But it makes good entertainment for my wife she laughs at me the whole time im cleanin cages.

When you have a big boa strike at you, your reaction is heart racing, hands shaking and trust me it stays with you for more than just a few min. I had a 4.5' strike at me when I tried to take him back inside after some outside pics, now that was scarry.

haha the little females have such big attitudes sometimes. My girl likes to puff up and look threatening alot. She surprised my mom earlier when she let out a small scream XD Was handling her when she got a little upset about not being able to climb in my hair

I love a gecko like that...........especially when they are NOT 96 grams... I had a female like that once - she HATED ME with a passion and she took a swing at me every single time ....god, I miss her
