Tiamat's getting very pale. I bet she'll shed either tonight or tomorrow. I've misted her hide three times today to make sure it's nice and moist. Her getting ready to shed is also why I became doubly concerned about the temperatures. I wanted to make sure her humid high WAS actually humid. She also didn't eat anything for dinner tonight (but the last few days she's been wolfing down those mealies! She loves them so much I can hardly ever get her to eat crickets!)

Just kind of excited. I can't wait to see what her new skin's going to look like! :)

It is exciting. I remember seeing my first shed I was aware that Ping was pale and may at any time shed, I have a small tank I put my critters in while I clean the enclosure. As I was about to put him back I noticed "stuff" around his neck and that he was very active even for him I put him back in the "waiting room" and the family gathered around
to be voyers. Understand that these were MY critters to this point but after Ping undressed in front of us he has envoked much curiosity and several family members rea
this forum with me. Ping does not undress for our entertainment but that one time I think some family members BEGAN to understand my love for these guys

My girl just shed about a week ago. I was at home sick that day so I watched her, making sure she did everything correctly. She actually kinda woke me up from moving around in her cardboard tube in circles, rubbing against the sides to get her skin to detach. When she walked out, she had different pieces of skin sticking off her in different directions and it made her walk funny. Haha.

Well I got up this morning, and Tiamat had a nice new skin to show off! Her purple bands of spots have expanded but her yellow is nice and intense! And the bright orange spots on the base of her tail have all but disappeared. I didn't get to see her undress but it's still neat to see the result. I'm proud of her. No stuck shed on her toes for her! Nice and clean shed. :) I'll take some pictures so you guys can see what I'm talking about regarding her purple. Another few sheds and she might be ALL purple. D: lol

I really need to clean her tank. Do you think it would be okay to do it now after she's done shedding or should I wait another day or does it really matter? Her tank is steenky. :x (And yes I do clean up her poo and stuff, it just still stinks.)
