Tile question

What type of tile should I get for a new tank? Slate? And what thickness? WIll a UTH be enough for heating it? Need to setup a tank right away. New geckos moving in. THANKS!

Slate works, but it's heavy and tends to be pretty thick when sold. I use regular ceramic tile from Home Depot or equivalent and it holds the heat well.

I use a linoleum type of tile.... had it left over from redoing our floors. It holds heat well and very light and easy to clean.

ceramic here, I actually had an issue with it getting too hot under some of my hides. so yes your UTH will be enough heat
