Does anyone know about vinyl tiles and using them on the bottom of the gecko tank? I saw some nice colors, but I'm not sure if they can be used in the tank. Will the heat melt them, will they retain heat for the reptiles, will they let out chemicles when heated, etc? Any information will help. Thanks.

I don't know much about vinyl tiles, but you may want to consider ceramic tiles. They also come in nice colors are cheap if you price them carefully and come in many sizes so you can put together something that will cover any size tank without cutting tiles.

just save youself the hassle and get ceramic tiles. the ceramic will hold heat much better, while the vinyl ones will eventually dry-rot from the heat and become brittle, break, and just make a mess. not to mention if they are the self stick tiles, they can release harmful chemicals that are in the glue.
