To cool or not to cool

Hey, I am planning on attempting to breed my leopard geckos, and I find conflicting advice on whether or not they really need a cool down period to induce breeding. Do you think it is necessary to cool them down? Does this affect productivity? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Theres no point to cool unless the male refuses to breed...and 99.99% dont have a problem

well Leos don't have to be cooled, but it just so happens mine Have to be cooled because they are in the garage so in winter it gets cold and the heating elements cant keep up so it does drop a few degrees and they dont eat as much. Its especially good if you want to keep your pairs together year round without them mating all the time and stressing out. They will stop because of the cooling and you can keep them together. One of my pairs have been together for 4 seasons-5 seasons(2 with me) and have never really had an issue. Next season is going to be my first time separating them. Also the females laid 8 clutches or more so it might also help on that and they were all fertile.
The drawback to cooling is if you bred the geckos too late in the season they wont be in top shape when the cooling period begins so you need to breed them at the beginning to have them ready to be cooled.
Hope that helps :) and I by no means am an expert, but this is my opinions and what I've done :)
