I recently had a hatchling with small undeveloped eyes (the clutchmate looked the same way but never hatched), and I was told that can have to do with a lack of Vitamin A. Currently I have a bowl of calcium w/o D3 in each cage (JurassiCal), once a week I dust a 50/50 mix of the same supplement with a vitamin supplement (JurassicVite), and once a week with a calcium supplement w D3 (Repcal). All other days I dust with the calcium w/o D3. So my question is would there be any harm in putting some of the vitamin supplement in the bowl with the calcium supplement? Can they overdose on some vitamins? I dont think anyone is lacking for calcium but I have heard that some vitamins block the absorption of calcium so I dont want that to be a problem either. i am just paranoid now that my leos are not getting enough of the right vitamins. Any ideas?

Yes, they can overdose on some vitamins...and Vitamin A is one of them. Eye problems can be caused by having too little OR too much Vitamin A. There are others as well, but that's a big one.

I dont think so...they just store it in the pockets behind their arms, right?

Right. It's possible for a person to OD on calcium...it can cause kidney stones and other problems. However, I've never heard of a leo having the same problem. They seem to regulate their calcium intake pretty well.
