My 6 month female leo insists on defecating inside her moist hide. Is this ok or can it cause health issues? I do remove her poop within 5-10mins of her doing it as she goes into the moist hide at the same time every evening like clockwork.

It shouldn't be a problem if you remove it. You could try moving the hide to see if she likes the hide or the spot. If you move the hide, put a piece of poop on the spot so she gets the idea.
