My African Fat Tail gecko has a 'tooth' on the right side of his mouth. I put it in the leopard gecko section because i think its a leopard gecko problem also. It seems to grow as he grows. Hes had it since he was bought. I will try to get pics but its kinda small but ill see. Is this a problem? Please dont move it unless its is not a problem because this can help both species.

Thanks,
Kaspar

I assume from the quotes you mean something other than one of the gecko's actual teeth? Is it a bump or a dent or something? Sorry, I'm tired at the moment and stuff doesn't make as much sense to me. :tongue3:

I wonder if it could be an abscess from being bitten by his own food? Could you get a picture from the top?

You could give it a try - I don't see why not, however just don't use it too often as it can damage the tissues. Just a dab'll do it.

it does look like an infection of some sort, but the pictures are a little unclear for me to get a really good look at it.

I see that you have linked my post about my girl.

I tried the beta-dine solution and saw no results. So I used a q-tip soaked in peroxide, gently dabbed the area and let it fizz for a bit. Wiped the peroxide off with another damp q-tip and repeated two more times. On the last dab the infected apart fell out, she licked the area before I could grab the infected part. After I got the infection out I cleaned the area with water and then used a q-tip to place triple anti-biotic on the sore. I repeated the anti-biotic every day for a week, with a peroxide treatment every other day. I did have to repeat the treatment about 2 weeks later as the spot did reappear, but since then she has not had anymore infection in that area.

Lol what's triple anti-biotics I'm 13 need help lol

Neosporin Original ointment would be an example... there's plenty of generics as well. What your momma used to put on your scraped knees when you were younger.

Make sure you get the ointment with out the "pain relief".
