It bothers me they they are not providing any evidence or reasoning behind why they think he committed suicide. I have my doubts he did.
Also clearly this guy cared for his animals and i wouldnt just set them free even if i offed my self because i know what would happen to them..
in addition, the media is saying and giving the impression he illegally obtained these.. when infact he had permits for at least most of them... and i believe he was running some sort of educational place for them. not just some mass hoarder.
Im pretty sure you have to be certified to use a tranquillizer and i was feasible in SOME of the cases to wait for someone to get there.. but killing zebra and camels.. wtf
I can understand maybe shooting lions and tigers on the spot as they pose an immediate threat to the public. But monkeys and all the herbivors that could have been rounded up would have been better off alive. Dont tell me no one had a single horse/animal trailor or any experience with roping.
had a lot going on according to the news tonight, wife had left him, he'd just spent a year in jail, tax man putting liens on his property, that's just what I remember. how was he feeding all these animals? most were killed on the property in two locations, very sad. Considering the sheriff's office has been to the property over 30 times for various reasons since early 2000's, they should have been somewhat prepared to deal with this better than they did, like at least trained to use and have access to tranq guns? senseless. On one hand you have to think of neighbors and safety- I don't know how far out of town his property is or anything.. on the other hand conflicting statements come off like a bunch of trigger-happy good 'ole boys got to have open season for a few hours, and they buried it all up fast as they could.
