I had an egg hatch today. Father is Tremper Albino and mother is SHT.... in order to make hets to produce Sunglow later on. Guess what... today hatchling was is an albino.
This was totally unexpected, because the breeder I bought the female from did not mention any hets, or possible hets. The parents were not albino either...
What conclusions can I draw from the above information?
That means she is SHT, het for tremper albino, right?
Does that also mean that one of the parents had to be het for Tremper Albino also.... which passed down a 25% chance of het for albino to my female?
Just trying to understand this genetics thing. Please let me know if I am correct or incorrect.
