Hi all, Merry Christmas in advance :)

Would like to know if the gecko below is a mack snow tremper or just a tremper albino? I'm not really good at IDing snow albinos but it looks more and more to be just a tremper to me.

Thanks!

There really isn't a good way to know with a gecko of that age since many Mack snows yellow up as they grow. Some of them keep a kind of "frosted" coloring, which that one doesn't have. I'd tend to say it's not a snow but the only way to know for sure is to breed it to a non-snow and see if you get any snow babies.

Hi Aliza, thanks for your input there. I was of the impression that a mack snow albino would be more distinguishable from its albino form, unlike non albino mack snows which would look like wild caughts.

And perhaps the consideration of the line of the snows would also be helpful I guess, anyway thanks again :D

No, sorry. They start out black/white for non-albino or pink/white for albino and then any of a number of things can happen. I have not produced Mack snow albino yet, though I will this coming season, but I have some Mack snow non-albinos I've produced that you'd never believe are snows.
