Well, his time had come. We put Troi to sleep on this past Saturday. I've had him since I was 11. The house is so quiet without him being around (he was a very talkative cat). Our other cat, Mitsu (the orange tabby), is constantly looking for him and is being very clingy with us. I feel bad for him, but I'm not looking to get another cat right now.

I miss him, but at the same time I'm OK. It bothers me that it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. We had a good hard cry when they brought back the empty carrier (I couldn't stand to be there). Since then, I've been a bit numb to it. It helps that work is totally crazy, and Cadence is pure joy.

There won't be another like you, Troi. :main_no:

Aw, I'm sorry that you won't have the joy of his physical presence anymore but that was an admirable decision you made. It's always hard to decide when to let go. We'll be thinking about you the family.

Awwwww, Shanti. I'm so sorry! I know when we talked you knew the time was coming, and know it was a hard decision to make. Our pets enrich our lives so much and it leaves an empty hole that cannot be filled. I know you will have many wonderful memories of growing up with Troi when the pain of the loss fades.
