So, I was working on some tupperware moist hides today.. And I went through quite a few lids before I got the hole passable enough.

How do you all do it so it's easy to file down and doesn't come out looking like a square instead of a circle? lol!

Thanks~

I personally draw on it then poke a hole in the middle of it then cut from the middle. Then I take a nail file to smooth it out once all the real rough edges are out I take a melt knife hold it over a flame and after a few seconds I use it to melt the edges of the opening so it can be smooth.

Funny that you ask,
I just made one today. I used a "Glad" tuperware container w/ the interlocking lids. The nice thing about the lids is that they have a perfectly sized circle on te center of the lid. It is kindof like a bubble... I just cut around the outline, and got a perfect circle that was nice and smooth.

i just use a razor knife and score the outline a few times then its pretty easy to cut without cracking the plastic

use and exacto knife (razor blade) to cut out the circle then use a lighter to melt down the edges a bit till they are smooth when I run my finger around the edge of the hole.

That's what I use too.
I trace out the hole w/ a pen and heat the lid w/ a hairdryer to get it nice and soft. Much easier to cut that way. Just watch your fingers!!
