Um...wow. This is impressive. Maybe its the next two headed turtle thing? I personally would hang onto that.

it seems like he just wants to make a quick buck off it since they're known to not have long lifespans... i mean honestly it's useless for breeding purposes so whoever buys it is just in it for a curiosity piece/conversation starter and will probably just get it stuffed when it dies in a year or so.

Personally I'd want to keep it to do a full autopsy when he passes. I'd be curious as hell as to what the insides look like, what's shared, did everything else develop normally, etc. You know, if he wants to make the fast money, it's his right. I can only hope for the geckos' sakes that no one has the money or that it goes to someone who is interested in giving it the best life possible.

he's got new pictures up... also in my altered state i decided to shoot him an email thru kingsnake telling him that his actions are likely not going to be looked upon too favorably in the reptile community...

ok people here's the scoop...

the guy actually responded quite quickly to my email and informed me that he's had a number of zoological institutions and private parties inquire and only listed the animal because he knows there's significant interest in two-headed specimens in the scientific field...

Well-when I got to the ad-it was removed

There seems to be an increase recently of abnormal reptiles listed for sale at ridiculous prices

Eyeless Boas-eyeless turtles -2 headed "whatevers"-etc.

MHO is that is the breeder does not want to keep the animal-it should be adopted out to a good home to live it's life in the best conditions possible

Putting it on display with bright lighting -well-for a nocturnal animal-I would consider that cruel treatment

I think that this is a subject for the moral/ethics board-the question being
What would you do if you hatched out such an animal?

Hmmmmmm.I think that this subject may have already have been covered there with geckos

just my .02
