From an idiot on craigslist who knew nothing at all about leopard geckos or how to care for them. The "white and black albino" as he was being sold as doesn't seem to be in great shape but hopefully will pull through after he gets this shed off and starts eating more. The other seems OK and is a bit bigger, he was sold as a "yellow leopard gecko". When I got to the ghetto to pick them up, they were housed in a tupperware where they were almost literally swimming in water. Nothing in there but a water bowl which was dumped all over...

Anyways, hoping they both grow up to be healthy leos, I have no clue what morph they are. The black and white one has TINY black eyes, the other has snake eyes (Though I'm almost positive I saw a ruby red hue in them in the sunlight earlier, though I can't see it now).

Help me out ><

It's disgusting what some people will let happen to their pets. I would have knocked whoever you got them from on their ass as I was leaving the house with them. Horrible. I hope you can nurse them back to health. Good luck.

Thank you, It was disgusting. He had lots of snakes which all appeared to be cared for correctly. It was just these leos that looked like crap. Anyways, I took them in and they are in their own 20L tank to start rehabilitation. #2 looks A-OK but #1 is a sad story. I reallly hope they can both pull through this rough start they had...

Nothing wrong with those leos! They're just hatchlings. The first one is a Jungle Mack Snow (with stripe genes), and the second one a Reverse Stripe (maybe het Eclipse; mine look like this, too; looks like it's losing its stripe or getting a dotted stripe). Those are two gorgeous babies! :main_thumbsup::main_thumbsup: They look good for their age; babies aren't much fatter. Just keep them in the right environment, and you'll have two beautiful geckos! I'm surprised you found something that pretty on Craig list.

Thank you and I hope you are right! Yeah, they were posted on craigslist with "small rehoming fee" so I emailed and said I could pick up today and give her $30 to let me take them and get them healthy, picked them up an hour later from her husband. They were definitely not being house correctly at all.

Just updating on the rescues. #2 is doing terrific as expected, eating great, shedding with no help, and fattening up nicely, he is however a flight risk, he likes to take off when I handle him.

Baby #1 we have named Oreo. She is slowly getting better and is now eating and shedding on her own. She did unfortunately drop her tail for an unexplained reason, mystery to me as it happened while she was all alone in her tank. She is super sweet though.

Looks like they will both be fine in the end :) though we are keeping close eye on #1 for the next few weeks. Can't wait til the time comes when they're grown up and we know sexes.

Also, our PETCO Patty rescue is doing great too and growing super fast, faster than we ever expected.

lol on the "flight risk", nice choice of words because I have a juvie that likes to take ridiculous jumps too.

Glad to hear your rescues are doing well, and kudos on rescuing them :)

Ah...sorry, I was confused there for a minute. (been doing too many unit conversions in class, lately. apparently.)
I hope they grow like weeds for you.

p.s. I concur, mack snow and reverse stripe.
