I have a femae leo that is a little over a year. She's heavy and ready to go but when my male attempts to mate with her. She refuses and bites his face and I would really like them to breed but i cant figure out how to get them to do the thing... Any suggestions?

My other question is... The same male gets put into another tank and refuses to even go near either of the other two females. Its wierd with my three females he mates and they are kept seperate from each other but when i put the male with my friends leo's he just ignores them???

When I first started breeding, my female was terrified of the male. So I was told to put his hide in her tank and her hide in his tank. It would allow for them to "smell" each other. And are you putting him in with her? or her in with him?

I have two females... They were breed with my enigma and layed there eggs. First timer duds. Recently I got a very white Female leo and i put the enigma in there with her and she bites the hell out of him every time he try's to do it. So i took the enigma to my friends house to get it to breed with any of his females and he just ignores them... I cant figure out whats wrong with him or her when it comes to breeding.

That is strange. The only thing I would suggest is the switching of hides so she gets used to his scent.

You may be able to get the female "in the mood" with this trick.

As for the second question, I had a male at the start of the season that I also thought was never going to breed for me. But then, after he mated for the first time, you couldn't stop him anymore. :main_laugh: My opinion is that some males just get started later than others. You have to be patient. He'll mate when he's ready. :main_yes:
