Nope didn't catch it, I’m a big soccer fan though. Maybe one day U.S.A. will when the world cup.

I just watched that game. Due to the time difference, the matches are played 12:00am to 5:00am HK time; so I had to record the games on tape and watch them in the morning before I see the results from the news...

Yea, that was a great match. I'm suprised that Netherland is so strong this year! They have a good chance to be in the final! If you ask me, I think its between Germany and Netherland this year.

Netherlands has definitely been a surprise! So has Romania for that matter. Looking at the group I didn't think either would have a chance to make it through the group stages. Hope the third round is as exciting as these two.

I'm still hoping for Germany vs. Portugal for the second round too! What a great summer for soccer though, EUROs, Olympics and WC Qualifiers!

btw - I see you live in Chicago, are you familiar with the AAC Eagles?

Lol - good point! The new stadium's awesome too!

Eagles are a Polish club, so I figured if you played, it might be with them. Been with the reserves for a bit, lol. Just happy to be playing again ;o)

We just had the pleasure of being in Amsterdam while the Dutch team won 2 games. The excitement in the air was contagious! A group of girls across the canal were having a viewing party and groups of fans would walk by and sing football cheers to their window.

Wow! That had to be a great experience! Not to mention a fun vacation! Thanks for sharing. Did you hit any of the museums? I wanted to get out there for the Rembrandt celebration, but didn't have the funds.

Picks for the second round anyone?

We did a lot of free things, like walking. LOL We walked to the zoo and it was almost $30 per person in US $ so we didn't go in. We're terribly cheap tourists. Watching people fill the streets in crazy orange outfits and air horns until all hours of the night celebrating was more fun than a museum anyway!

Lol - I hear an echo of a few friends in that statement. Being an artist with a bit of an obsession with Rembrandt, I may have to differ. But hey, I can't afford to get over there, so I'm left trying to live vicariously through the lucky ones ;o)

I'm sure it was intoxicating watching the passion of the fans! Seeing the city alone had to be amazing!
