ugh! she laid her eggs and I didnt find them in tme!

One of my females who I had paired with a male but didnt think actually mated apparently did and laid her eggs but she laid them under the paper towels and I didnt find them until they were too late to save. First rookie breeding mistake. Ill be checking every day multiple times a day for eggs.

Sorry to hear that, I too have an egg that I think may have been found too late but I'm incubating just in case. Only reason I didn't see it is because this particular hide is hard to see (store bought one), it's not a clear container. I guess I can see why breeders use plastic containers as it's easier to take a peek off and on.

Most of the time when the females lay their eggs outside of the nestbox they are infertile anyway. Best of luck with the next clutch!
