I hope he did not injure himself, however funny story. I really have not had that problem except from baby's. Take your time and stay close to the ground. He should settle down if you persist.

I would take it slow, put your hand in the enclosure and let him walk on your hand do not force him.

yeah i dont wrap my hand around them or anything i put my hand in the tank and he walks on it i just hold him and let him walk freely in my hand and up my arm but if he gets a chance he'll jump away and try to run =/

You're the magic ladder to the Outdoors. :laugh4: When mine's feeling hyper I have to keep his attention by walking him from hand to hand and up and down my arms, so he doesn't concentrate on all the cool stuff around me that he can take a flying leap onto. :tongue3: Once he gets enough exploring in, he'll calm down and just sit wherever I put him (if it's dark enough and "safe" feeling).

That's exactly why I never liked holding mine too much. I was always worried they would just dart somewhere really fast and I would lose track of them. Or they would injure themselves by falling. If I handle them its usually in or right on top of their tank. I don't start walking around the house with them. Just too risky as far as I'm concerned. I like geckos more to watch and admire then actually holding and playing with. :p

I play with mine close to the ground in open areas like the living room or kitchen. He's fast, but tiny; my arms are long enough to snatch him up should he stray. ;)
