So I just found a clutch of eggs in a lay box that I have no idea how long they've been in there. I've checked the female a few times, and never thought she loked ovulating or gravid at that. The eggs were dry, but I'm not sure if that is normal. I happened to see the first egg by chance, so I don't think they are that old. They are in the bator now set at 83.5 (due to temp changes in the bator). I candled them and one looked as if it might be fertile. I realy couldn't tell about the other since they were pretty dirty. I hope I got to them in time, but think it might be a lost cause. I'll just know to check her again in the near future. Oh yeah, there were some dents in the eggs. What should I do to try to mke them have a chance? Please help.

If they have dent's, just make sure the perlite is moist enough. Then if the eggs are still alive, they should pull through. (I bury my eggs all the way, just cover them at the top with a light layer of substrate, and this may help, since they have dents on whatever side.)

All you can really do is incubate them the right and normal way, and hope for the best.

I misted they eggs this morning to try to get them moist. I'll be checking them very often to see how they are doing. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Never never give up on an egg till it is stinky!!! Never throw one out till it is for sure gone bad. Never assume it is no good. Did I mention never??? lol.

Just be sure not to moisten them too much!! then you will have mold.. since you already sprayed them, you shouldn't need the moist paper towel too.. I would just leave them alone for now.

They still had some dents when I checked them at lunch. But it seems like they are doing ok other than that. It does look like there are some masses in the eggs, so they could be ok. I hope so. That pair make some really nice little ones. They had a SHT from their last clutch. Don't worry though, I'm not going to give up on them at all. I lso had a clutch today come from my Hypo het RAPTOR female x MS male. Can't wait til tose hatch.

Ok, so I candled the eggs tonight and they seem kind of pinkish. Do you think that could mean that I caught them in time? The have plumped back up for the most part. There is one dent on the tip of one of the eggs, but all the other dents have gone away. Of course I'll check them very often, but I'm getting more hopeful now.
