UK Vivarium?

I am in need of a cheap, all-glass vivarium like this.

It should be around 3 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot (Or bigger).

I have a 20 gallon long with a sliding top like that. Most petstores and even walmart (if you have those in the UK) carry them for pretty cheap. Ebay is another good place to find cheap stuff, but the shipping would probably cost more than the actual viv. You could try craigslist too.

Doesn't matter now. All of them are wayyy to expensive. I'm going to build my own.

Yeah, all vivs are expensive as hell in the UK. I reccomend you go down to "Pets at home" and choose a fish tank to your specifications, they come with a generic black plastic hood, the ventilation is just fine, but if you're thinking of using lights, they might not be suitable. You may wanna try buying the tank and constructing a screen lid. Hope I helped.

Gareth's idea is good. I have a vivarium with a hood like that and I gotta say it's more of a pain in the butt opening and closing that thing with the little hatch. I have two other tanks that have a generic hood that I can lift off quick and easy. Having to slide that thing alllll the way off and on each time can get irratating.

I have one of these and it is amazing second hand. Cricket Keeper i was told it was called. Some pet shops in the UK might be able them in. I was told they were expensive to get in. Pet shop guy was telling me that they for some reason dont sell. :main_huh:

Where do they not sell, I'll buy one!! Do they come in bigger sizes?

I was in derry in Northern Ireland mid week and the guy i was chatting to said no one want's them. I have seen 3 different sizes. 2 in the shop and one I have .
