If a female is underweight but is still ovulating anyway, should I go ahead and let a male mate with her? I figure if she is going to lay eggs, they might as well be fertilized.

Am I wrong for thinking this or is it logical?

Just cause she's ovulating doesnt nessecarily mean she'll lay eggs. They can reabsorb them. It happened with my Bliz when I first got her

If the female is to little for the eggs to fit her, the eggs will be bad anyway. Why put her on extra stress by let her copulate? Just let her grow to a nice 40 / 45 gramms (unless she is a giant, than its much more) before breeding, and there probably will be little problems.

We have a few girls who are ovulating at 20g, they are all re-absobing the eggs as they form. It can be really dangerous to breed her if she's too small.

Im a newbie to breeding geckos and this topic has made me wonder if geckos can reobsorbe the egg when they are ovulating why cant they do that in a case of egg-binding is it because the egg it in too advance of a state to be reobsorbe or what? Thanks for any help.
