Unexpected Death

My youngest Leo passed some point over the weekend. I left Friday for a vacation, but filled his tank with water, crickets, and some worms. He had two hides, a warm and cool end, and was housed on paper towels. The temperature and humidity was fine.
The odd thing is he was in the middle of shedding and was in a position that looked as if he was seizing. Some skin was in his mouth...could he have somehow choked? He got calcium supplement three times a week along with a dish of it at all times so I don't think it was mbd. He was an albino, not an enigma, but could he have had neuro issues?

Sorry for your loss. It's hard to know. Could be choking or something you couldn't have been aware of.

Thank you. I have never heard of choking. Is it somewhat common? The more I read about neuro issues with leos the more it sounds like him. He was very sweet and calm, but did a lot of circling, star gazing, was generally clumsy. I got him from ++++++++ so I imagine they don't really look for something like that.
