*sigh* Did I mention I'm a sucker?!?! lol

Just adopted out our female merle foster Great Dane 2 weeks ago.....just picked up 2 harlequin fosters! lol I'm such a sucker! :D

Here's the living room now (please excuse the mess, I now have SIX dogs throwing the living room pillows and blankets around to their liking! ;) ):

Spooner and PeeWee (natural-eared harlequins) are the fosters and Loki (cropped harl) and Erik (cropped mantle)--my boys. :D My other 2 dogs let the danes 'segregate' themselves. They hang out on the other side of the living room. I think it's a statement.....a "keep those big, clumsy idiots the heck away from me!" statement......:main_laugh:

I'm convinced the danes are as addictive as the leos.....if they didn't take up so much room, I'd have just as many! :main_rolleyes:

Yeah! If I were EVER to get a dog.....it would have to be a big one. :main_yes: I'm so sick of everyone having these rat-sized dogs that if you pet 'em to hard you break their neck, sheesh. Cool dogs! :D

:main_laugh: OMG, that is so funny. And I thought Malamutes where addicting. That is very cool that you do fostering and adopting. They are beautiful.

Wow! That's impressive! My parents have an English Mastiff and he alone makes quite a mess. How do you deal with 6 drool-monsters??

Thanks for all of the comments.

The Danes really aren't as drooly as the Engllish Mastiffs, in my experience. Mine in particular. They are conditioned to wait for the regular 'towel over the mouth after a drink' routine. lol Other than after a drink, though, really not drooly. Thank goodness! ;)

Lucky you! Odin loves to take a big drink then come over and slop it all over your lap. He's a big dufus.

lol Yeah...it sure is a lot of food! They're worth it, though! :D The adults really aren't that horrible to feed....only about 5-6 cups a day. It's the pups (usually until about 2 years) that eat a ton. Mine have been up to 14 cups a day during growth spurts. :main_rolleyes: These 2 (fosters) were a bit under weight, though, when they came to us, so are averaging about 10 cups a day until they get up to a normal, healthy weight. They have gained about 10 pounds, each, so far, though. Almost there. :D

We are lucky to have Danes that aren't too drooly. I have met some that are, for sure!
