Kazuya is adjusting just fine..i got the right size crickets, i alternate them with mealworms which he L-O-V-E LOVES! and he is shedding and everything. I got him this shedding mist to help the process and everytime his color is gettin richer and more beautiful.

i learned so much from this forum. he has an undertank heater and lamp, bedding, post..etc.

THE STRANGE THING HE DID TODAY..

he was walking around my room...but staying close to me (good boy) and then all of the sudden he turns his tail, and starts licking his pee! iwas grossed out! but then concerned..

i kinda have to dunk him in his water.. he hasnt figured out what the waterbowl is, so i kinda help him drink, but is he getting dehydrated and drinking his own pee as protection..or what? i spray him with water...(misting) and that shedding spray is to help too..just wondering..

well... they actually dont pee.. They produce a urate*i think thats how its spelled* its a hard white chalky substance. Because they are desert dwellers they absorb all of the water from their food, very affective imo. Now if it was licking that area maybe he was cleaning himself.

it wasnt the urate, i have been urated on enough to know what that is..lol but it was a clear liquid coming from his "vent" and he was just licking it..so u do think its him replenishing himself? i have tried to get him to drink, one time i have actually seen him drink out of his bowl himself but i just think he forgets...i spray him and his environment..

yeah it wasnt the white stuff..oh and i have tried to upload a pic of us so u can see him, but it keeps saying it wont upload any of my types fo pics..help?
