Last season was my first season breeding and like a newbie I just bought a lot of geckos and produce lots of normals and SHTCT. It wasn't until May when I decide what projects I want to follow and some of those projects includes having a Raptor and enigma pair. On September 30 for my surprise I hatched this girl from a Banded Raptor and a Snow Enigma which turned out to be het eclipse. I only posted picture of her the day that she was hatched and one funny picture 6weeks later.

Nice little one;D Are you sure it was het eclipse? Enigmas have there own little eye traits that look similar to snake eyes. Shes doesnt have full on eclipse eyes and look alot more like engima eyes then snake eyes. I love the streak down her back~

I am not sure but the person that sold me the female told after I showed the hatchling's picture that the female might be then het raptor. He told me that she was on her dreamsickle group but that she only seems to be a snow enigma not sure about any hets.

It looks like it has the white eclipse nose, but it's hard to tell for sure. I've had snow enigmas with eclipse eyes when there were definitely not eclipse genes present. You'll probably have to test breed to know for sure.

Last pic of the 4th shed is a real good pic of her nose. I personally dont think its a white nose for a eclipse. And the second to the last pic them spots seem to close to the nosterals to be a white nose. :p its so hard to tell with some tho. Test breeding like Kristi said is the only way to know. Personally I dont trust a breeder who doesnt tell me right away that it could be het for this or that. It seems kinda sneeky to me. No bashing anyone but with important info like that just seems odd to skip out on telling some one.

She's still freaking adorable none the less!

The breeder is one of the well known breeders and one of those who produces 1,000's per year. I can imagine him not knowing exactly the genetics of one of them. I remember he telling me that the only female enigma that he had available at that moment was one that he can't tell the genetics. He only told me that it was a snow enigma not sure of any hets rather that she was on her tremper's racks not the bell's one and I agree to buy her. Another thing is that will be tricky to proove out the eclipse gene since if she is not eclipse she is het eclipse since her dad is a raptor and from that snow enigma female I hatch 6 eggs where all 6 was snow enigmas and she is not a super snow. Let see what happen with the last 2 eggs that still in the incubator.

She turned out to be a beauty :main_thumbsup::main_thumbsup: Yes, I remember her as a hatchling -- she was the baby that wore a collar :main_laugh:
