Is the different layers supposed to be the different layers of rock?

Materials and color

Yeah, I used a 1 - 5 Ration water-grout for a liquid coat, 4 layers. If went any thicker ratio i would have lost my carved lines and texture. I was trying for the sandstone effect, I think next time Ill have to hand paint for the effect I want. My 1st attempt though, next is a river scene for my anoles.
