I forgot where I posted the pic of the 29 gallon tank with just the foam work done. But I figured this is the forum to post these anyway. The backgrounds are made per Black Jungle's method: black silicone, great stuff foam and coir. It usually takes me 3 passes to make sure I get all the foam covered. I hose the crap out of them to get all the loose stuff off so I can make sure the background holds up. I took these pics after 2 rounds & a hosing down, there are still some spots that need to be touched up. Don't want it all falling apart once you put an animal in it!

This is a 10 gallon setup for horizontal usage (it's vertical so it can dry off). Jeanne brought up an interesting point about how do I get the geckos out of the coconut? I still don't have an answer. I would just throw in a roach to make mine come out!

This is the 29 gallon that Alan made the door for. I need to get all the inside work done before the door goes on. This tank is going to be HOT when I finish with it...and I will post pictures!

I had some foam left in the can and didn't want to waste it. Once you start a can you gotta finish it or it dries and you lose the remaining foam. So I decided to make a couple of little hides. Actually, 2 of these are large enough for my yearling ball pythons. Had to hose these down too. I may take these to the show, see how they do.

I'm not keeping these...selling them in B'ham in a couple of weeks. I would put day geckos of cresteds in them if it were up to me. Maybe plant them heavy and put some tree frogs in the 29 gal.

"Cowpies"...lol, now that you mention it...has anyone tried dry cowpies as hides?

The tank is almost completed. I was hoping to be finished Friday, but I found some spots hat needed touched up and that set me back a couple of days. I just installed the door Alan made for this tank. The silicone isn't dry in the pics, this tank will sit vertical when completed. Hopefully tomorrow I can add some substrate and tillandsias and the tank will be ready. I will post pictures!

All the plants are live Tillandsias. If I were going to keep this I would put a pothos or ivie plant in it and let it climb to the top!:main_thumbsup:
