I forgot where I posted the pic of the 29 gallon tank with just the foam work done. But I figured this is the forum to post these anyway. The backgrounds are made per Black Jungle's method: black silicone, great stuff foam and coir. It usually takes me 3 passes to make sure I get all the foam covered. I hose the crap out of them to get all the loose stuff off so I can make sure the background holds up. I took these pics after 2 rounds & a hosing down, there are still some spots that need to be touched up. Don't want it all falling apart once you put an animal in it!
This is a 10 gallon setup for horizontal usage (it's vertical so it can dry off). Jeanne brought up an interesting point about how do I get the geckos out of the coconut? I still don't have an answer. I would just throw in a roach to make mine come out!
This is the 29 gallon that Alan made the door for. I need to get all the inside work done before the door goes on. This tank is going to be HOT when I finish with it...and I will post pictures!
I had some foam left in the can and didn't want to waste it. Once you start a can you gotta finish it or it dries and you lose the remaining foam. So I decided to make a couple of little hides. Actually, 2 of these are large enough for my yearling ball pythons. Had to hose these down too. I may take these to the show, see how they do.
