Well, it got to the point that Edesia and Pax didn't look happy in the 10 gallon setup anymore. So, last week, I went out and bought a 20 gallon, long tank. The flooring is "Desert Sands" sealed ceramic tile. In the "grout" lines I used clear silicone mixed with "Glo-Sand". The sand is not loose, so the leos can't eat it. I picked up a sweet freebie at Home Depot, a 2'x2' black slate tile that was broken into 3 pieces. I used it for the hides. I now have a total of 6 hides along the back wall. I used left over silicone to glue the slate into shape. The moist hide is a broken piece of terracotta, with a damp paper towel under it. I have a piece of sand stone in laying in front, to hide the towel.

I'm gonna shut up now and show you the pictures.

yea, i turned it down a little. I failed to take into account that ceramic tiles would hold heat and cause the temps to run away... The temps are at 92.5 and holding.

The temps get down to about 88* at night and during the day as high as 97. I have a red light in the middle of the tank to help the temp gradient. The light is on a timer to turn on at 6am and off at 8pm. If i turn the light off the temps only drop 5*. I think I have a good balance. The cool side is at 78-85*.

The probe is inside of the "hot" hide.

hope it wasnt a dramatic break up

nope.

I only blocked off two sides because one is the background and the other is where all the movement comes from. I left the one end uncovered because it faces a window ( a few feet away) and gets natural light in that way.

So far they are loving it. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, I am open to constructive criticism.

It's like art or something.

Mine is at 96 too. She eats like a pig.

it was just something simple to help them feel safe and give them something to do. However, I forgot to take into account that they are from an area of the world that closely resembles the texture of the grout. The long, short of it is, I spent the better part of 2 days trying to catch Edesia. I don't have a screen for it, and she crawled right up the side and out of the tank... i found her this morning in my bed... its only slightly scary to wake up with a bright yellow lizard an inch from your face.

i took it out until i get a screen

Why you take my picture?

They seem to love it. Blue is more lazy. I haven't gotten any pictures of her yet. Every time I see her doing something, she is back in a hide by the time i get a camera...
