Urban Gecko Questions

Good morning Everyone:

I am new to the forum and love this. I am investing in quality geckos to have as pets an breeding stock and love the Urban GEcko's stock. As with most things, I have heard mixed things (good and bad), however would love to own a high class Sunglow, but want to make sure it is truely awesome before spending the big bucks. Please IM your thoughts or feel free to post.

We have 3 sunglows from Urban and we're really happy with all of them. Craig has more geckos that aren't listed on his website so if you email him with what you're looking for and a price range he can pick something out for you. He was really nice and picked ours out for us for a good price. They're all really good eaters by the way and they'll eat pretty much anything.

ya craig has some awsome geckos for sure, i have bought leos off him before. ya he does have alot of stuff that he doesnt post.

Welcome! I admire The Urban Geckos almost every day through their website lol! I do not own any. I would love to have some one day. I do have a nice tang that had an urban gecko parent and she is beautiful.

The seems to run a very good shop. The sunglow are gorgeous. Some snows are nice, especially the super hypo snow.

I've purchased several geckos from Craig and he's always treated the transaction with the complete professionalism. His animals are top notch for sure. Good luck with your selection.

You know, I've never, ever heard anything bad about Urban Gecko's business. At worst - he's a self-promoter - but hey, this is his business, so why not.

His stuff looks great - but there are several good breeders out there with similar stock, like Kelli, Danthefireman, AMGeckos - Tremper.

Believe it or not, I have never even seen one of TUG's geckos up close and personal, much less done business with him. Oh well...

he has amazing geckos, but I think they might be to pricey. I would rather spend a grand on 5 nice tangs elsewhere and try to pair up the orangest and try to produce my own then give him 750 for 1 gecko. I love his geckos don't get me wrong, I'd love to own one, but when it comes to bang for the buck, ill breed my own instead of buyin his

Hi guys,

Craig at TUG is a stand up dude. Yesterday I received two of the really nice 5 star "Tornadoes" from him and WOW. They are out of this world. To say I'm very happy with them would be an understatement.

I have a question though from people who've purchased Craig's geckos (or from any online gecko company for that matter). The male didn't seem to show any interest in food, which I assume was normal for the first day. The female on the other hand went right after crickets. It's daytime now so they are asleep, however later this evening I will try feeding again.

-How long did it take for your geckos to eat after delivery was made?
- How long did it take to make the transition from crickets to mealies?
- What methods did you use to coax the geckos to eat mealies?

Any additional info would be appreciated.

I sent them an e-mail once asking about the minium order needed to ship to Europe and didn't get any answer. I guess that was because it looked like a long term plan and they were too busy to answer questions from people that aren't inmediate customers... That's the only negative thing I have to say about TUG.

I may try again later, when it isn't a long term plan Their geckos are too beautiful to be overlooked... Next time I'll try to seem more serious about it...

tangerine tornados are amazing, especially craigs. i started feeding my leos form craig about 4 days later, dont worry he will eat, craig keeps all his geckos healthy and feeding well, just give him sometime to adjust to his new surroundings. and i feed my leos both crickets and mealies, they didnt hesitate to go after the mealies.

I think ours took about 4 or 5 days to get their normal appetite back after shipping.
