UTH on 24/7?

Simple question: is the Under Tank Heater left on 24/7 and 365 days a year?

It looks as though I'll be using a '5 gallon' model under a 10 gallon aquarium for 1 leo.

Yeah, I'd keep it on. 5 gal will usually heat a 10 gallon tank to the upper 80's and keep a good temp gradient. It's not ideal, but it's comfortable for them.

I keep my UTH's on 24/7 and in the winter I have to have heat lamps as well, though those are just used during the day.

I usually have it on only in the day, my heat pads usually bring the temp up to about 93. and at night, it turns off and goes to around 75-78 ish, and in winter when its colder, i have a heat lamp that gets up to that temperature at night.
