Very conflicted

Hey guys, I need several opinions on this and hopefully I won't get flamed for anything!

This is the predicament:

I went to a certain large pet chain-store today to check out their clearance reptile items. I made the mistake of walking past the tanks. I have heard that this store might have to stop selling animals but I have no way to confirm this. I noticed that many of their reptiles are on clearance..including one, beautiful little leo. It looks healthy, his colors are bright but he's a little on the slim side. It isn't a normal morph (not that its morph would make a difference to me, though) he looks like a tangerine of some sort (though I saw a picture of a tangerine enigma today and it looked just like him. I'm not saying he's an enigma but the resemblance was uncanny.) I'm in a terrible dilemma. Before anyone says it, I know that by purchasing an animal I am only giving the store more funds to repeat its crimes but at the same time I am one of those people that know she can't save all of them but would be happy saving one little life.

This is why I'm in a dilemma:
I currently have one gecko and I have two more on their way to me. I don't have room currently for a fourth gecko. (I have the supplies, I just don't have a tank or another UTH). I'm also not sure if it would be wise of me to have a fourth gecko right now. I'm in college, I do have a job, but I have to be responsible with my funds. I'd love to have it, I just don't know if I should.

I guess I'm asking for all of your opinions on what I should do. If there is anyone or if you know anyone in the Atlanta (Georgia, United States) area that wants another gecko and who is a responsible reptile owner please let me know and I can tell you where to find this little guy. It's on clearance for about 17 dollars and he's absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure how old he is, maybe a month or less. He looks fairly healthy from what I can tell, he's not emaciated, just a little slim. I'm honestly debating going out and getting another tank and UTH.

I'm sorry about this long post, I'm just so torn right now and honestly don't know what I should do.

Thank you for your inputs in advance. Maybe a good person will buy him and it will not be a problem. I just don't feel comfortable leaving him to fate (this store has let so many geckos die, it's sickening).

Kasey

Quick edit: I understand the risks of petstore animals, especially reptiles. This guy is all by himself but I know that doesn't mean he doesn't have parasites.

Would contacting a reptile rescue be beneficial, possibly? I know of a couple in the area.

Personally I wouldn't purchase him/her. The biggest problem with Leopards or any reptile from a Chain Pet Store is the risk of Parasites. Also since you do not sound prepared I would opt against it.

I would buy him...but I say that every time I go in a pet store...LOL!
Do you have any friends or relatives that could take him?
Christmas present?

Best of luck!

If you can not handle the care for another dont do it.
If you are hesitant solely because of the place you are purchasing him from then get him.
Just because its a large pet chain store does not mean that the animals are no good. Also, having the mindset of 'if i buy this then i'm fueling the stores funds' is TOTALLY wrong. Pet chain stores actually lose money from pets most of the time, they make their real money off the supplies. I work at one, i know (not everything, but i'm pretty sure i know this much- not trying to sound like a know it all!)
