Mike, it is a nice leo.
It to me though looks a lot like your first hatchling. Maybe not as intense in the yellow department. Shown here http://www.geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=8760

I have had quite a few babies hatch from what I thought were pastels mack and pastel mack snows, I have seen nothing that leads me to believe that it is a trait that is anything out of the ordinary.

If you could point out some of the significant differences I would appreciate it.

Yeah, they're similar, but this one is faded and it's head/neck is lighter. I'm hoping this one goes in the direction I wanted the first to (white head and tail, faded yellow body) and not get dark like this...

As far as Mack Pastels, I'm not 100% comfortable calling them a morph, but use the name to describe leos that follow Alex's MP criteria.

Mack Pastel traits are:

1.) Hatch bright yellow and usually the first band is partially faded
2.) Have a lighter colored head than the body
3.) Have a Mack Snow background color (explains why bright babies become faded)
4.) Body blotches that were originally black bands and haven't turned yellow are white

I don't know why the Mack Snow background color doesn't come until later. There's lots to be figured out still. Mack Pastel siblings tend to be brighter than average, but display regular characteristics.

My breedings have gone as Alex claims and I get about 50% Mack Pastels from MP x WT. This season is my first time doing MP x MP so I don't have enough results yet and or geckos are too young to be sure.

michael, ahhh man that lizard is BAD FREAKN #$$. i'ld rather have the darker head and tail rather then white. cause if they turn out white, its just ganna end up looking like a plane old patty. dont you think? and also, i still dont know the diff between mack pastels (mack sibblings). and mack snow pastels. as far as ive gotten, they're the same thing.

Cool, but shouldnt it be a Snow? I am confused.

I think the problem proving out MP`s is, some Mack Snows produce Pastels and some do not. It seems like it is just something "leftover" from the Mack Snow gene, that makes some of the non-snows, look more like Snows.

They will have the same type of patterns, and be somewhat aberrant. They will even have some of the same lavender color, or markings. Then like Mike was saying, they often start out w/ partially faded bands.

I am pretty sure I hatched out three types when I had alot of Macks hatching. There were Snows, Pastels, and there were Snows that start out w/ just a very very small amount of yellow. Those, I think are the Mack Snow Pastels, meaning they are both. The difference is, one is a Pastel, the other is a Pastel AND a Snow.

Nice Blizzards Brandon! What were the parents?

Nevin, I've never seen a Patternless with a white head and tail...

My goal with this project was to produce geckos with pure white heads and tails and nice yellow bodies. In theory, that is what I figured a Mack Pastel Blizzard would look like. Alex has stopped crossing Mack Pastels with Blizzards and Patternless because the tend to 'dirty' up. Although we both agree that the Mack Pastel 'gene' actually 'pretties' up crosses (i.e. my BSBs, which are from Mack Snow Pastel het Bell x Classic Bell with very little yellow color). :main_huh: I'll come to my own conclusion (maybe another season of outcrosses) before deciding on dropping the cross or not.

If it was a Snow it wouldn't have the yellow, but it does have the 'frosted' look... :)

In my opinion, Mack Pastels are not a by product of Mack Snows or at least not just Mack siblings. That is why not every Mack Snow produces them.

There's a lot of outcrossing potential with these. Give me another season with this line and I know I'll have some killer stuff to show off!
