I would be concerned about the following:

--how reliable is this person who says the geckos are "eating well", unless the "lone male" is the sick one?

--how good a quarantine will you be able to maintain in case this gecko has crypto. You will have to quarantine the male from everyone and the females as well (but not near the male). You should read up on crypto quarantine. Do you have the time and the patience for all the repeated cleaning you will have to do to guard against spreading crypto? Do you want your other geckos to potentially be infected which will happen if your quarantine isn't near-perfect?

--how much money do you (or your parents, since I'm guessing you're still living at home) have to spend on vet bills. The sick gecko must go to the vet and there will be costs for tests, visits, fecals and repeat visits.

This is likely to be more complicated than just feeding up a hungry gecko. THink very carefully about all of the above before you go ahead.

I was talking about the leopard gecko male I have a 20 gallon tank for him in a different room then all of the other geckos that I have.

I have the money to spend on vets if it is needed.

I have gone through this before with a different geckoso I already know the proceedure of quarantine.

Great, with that kind of experience, go for it.
