Help im the new owner of this raptor. He is very sick before I got it. The original owner gave this to me coz he doesnt have time to take full care of this gecko. My problem is we dont have a reptile vet in our place(Cebu, Philippines). So I need to treat him myself. The only procedure im doing is giving a 1 drop reptaid per day and force feed 1 small crix a day. Thats all he consumes, only 1 small crix per day. But he consumes the blended recipe which I found in this forum. I use a syringe and put a drop near his nose and let him lick it. But I dont know how many ml to feed him with it. How many ml will I feed him thru the syringe per day? too much of everything is bad right. One thing, his poop is watery and white. Black colored poop is not present. :(
Been like since I got him. 6 days already. Tail was already loss when I got it.

Wish I had something to offer. The only thing I can offer is that it looks like the eyes have plugs forming, I'd suggesting using a warm wet/moist qtip or cotton ball to moisten those plugs and remove them. It will take around 30 minutes or more to moisten them, so be prepared for patience. Be gentle with the eyes when using the qtip.

As far as the urates (the white), the white is good, but I'm wondering if it wasn't getting fed enough before you ended up with it, it's also possible that it may have parasites, so if you can get your hands on a microscope and check, that may be helpful.

Unfortunately, that's all I can guesstimate here, good luck with your gecko. Taking in already sick geckos shouldn't be done unless you have a vet, really, but I can understand the reasoning behind it.

Am sorry to hear about this gecko, As for feeding him i would stay away from fast moving items such as (crickets) since there isn't much of a point to add them in since he is sick and slow. try giving him mealworms, see if he eats them alive, if not Wax worms are another great food item and geckos seem to really love them, if you can only feed him with a syringe i would get about as much as i could in him, without stressing him out or making him vomit. i would take out the bowl of moss and get him a small hide (a plastic Tupperware food container it fine) cut a hole in it and fill it with damp paper towels, this will help him get off any shed and they like them. Keep him on vitamins and good luck

tnx for your advices. I think he is getting worse. His poop color is still not changing. Reptaid is not working at the moment. Any alternatives for a homemade anti parasites?
