Antibiotics are harsh on their little systems so it will indeed take some time to recover. As long as he's eating and pooping with some regularity he's on the road to recovery. I've not used it but there is a probiotic for reptiles that some folks use following antibiotic treatments, look on [URL="http://lllreptile.com"[/URL] in their medication section.
I took my girl that had an eye ulceration for a check-up because it's been 3mos since her treatment began and she still gets a film over it. With a triple antibiotic eye ointment and single antibiotic eye drops and plain lubricant drops... The vet told me it will just take time, nothing more will help her faster as everything is being done. We get impatient
