The struts on the bottom of the visionarium make it a bit hard to find an appropriate UTH. I use ultratherm 6 x 23" on my visionariums. This works very well. I found the 6 x 17 did not do a sufficient job. As with any UTH, use a thermostat to avoid overheating.

The zoomed 1-5 gal won't melt plastic, but i don't think it'll cover enough space. The larger one (10-20 gal) doesn't specifically say it won't melt plastic, but it never has for me

so you use it on one and have no trouble? does the 1-5 gal reach a high enough temp?

zoo med uth's dont fit on the bottom of visionarium tanks because they have weird bottom. I use the ultratherm heatpads they are way better in my opinion than the zoo med ones anyways.
