Visual difference between an Enigma Diablo Blanco and a Diablo Blanco?

Good luck... I asked the same question months ago and never got any replies. I don't think there would be any visual difference, unless the Enigma showed the behavior typical of some Enigmas. The eyes may look different, but to my knowledge no one has produced a DB Enigma yet. I'm not sure what you mean by are there any pros to breeding a DB to an Enigma... the pro for me would have to be Enigmas het DB.

Ken,

Thanks for your quick reply!
What I meant by "pros to breeding a DB to an Enigma" is....Could it add something visually desireable to a morph that as far as I know just whites everything out?

the only way to physically tell would be if you got an enigma DB with snake eyes, then you would have the enigma eyes and the red eyes, but other than that they would be the same

I agree that the eyes would be the only noticable difference. I would "think" that the eyes would be very similar to the eyes on the NOVAs, but the gecko itself should be all white.

As I said earlier, I think if anything the eyes and behavior would be the tell tale signs, I'm pretty sure most people with experience with DBs and Enigmas would agree. Enigmas eyes are often very noticeably different from others.

I am sure as hatchlings you would see some of the tell tale spotting pattern that just about EVERY enigma shows...

Ken, only a small % of enigmas ever show the "behavior" you speak of so this is not a reliable "marker"...

Only two of my fifteen Enigmas show any of the behavior I mentioned. I'm just saying, it's a possible way of telling. You're right though, there may be some minor spotting. Has anyone actually done it yet? Not as far as I know. I'm not sure if the DB Enigma would have any tail spotting at all. I have a few Enigmas with stark white tails, without the least bit of spotting.

We're working on it now and It will probably have to be proved out bc it will be VERY difficult to tell the difference between a Blazing Blizzard Enigma and a DB Enigma. If the DB Enigma has solid eyes, there would really be no way to tell a DB from a DB Enigma until it's proven out.
