hey guys. My new baby is doing great! Had him for a little over a week now and he is already more alert and faster moving than when i got him. His tail is also getting fatter :). My question is i haven't dusted his crickets w/ a vitamin supplement with D3 yet. Before i go out to buy more crickets tomorrow i was just wondering what would you guys recommend for a vitamin supplement?
Thanks for reading!!

Here's what I do. I dust my crix with:

3 parts calcium W/ D3 to 1 part Rep-Cal Herptivite

I only dust the crix, not the mealies (which I only serve as an appetizer!!) because it doesnt stick to the mealies very well.

I use calcium dust (any brand, it's all the same) w/o D3 to put in a small dish for them to lick at their leisure (yes, they DO lick it!!).

RepCal recommends a 50/50 mix of RepCal to Herptivite, that works fine with leopards, has for the 15+ years of experience I have with the product. For Day Geckos most breeders use 2:1 (before I switched to Calcium Plus for them too). The lack of stick and the mixing process are negatives Calcium Plus does not have. It sticks well to the food, produces healthy offspring, and there is no mixing. Mix on if you like though! ;)

Thanks for the tips.
Does anything stick well to mealies?
When I am lucky enough to find freshly shed ones, it sticks well, otherwise, no!

I love Calcium Plus... easy & works great! And the stuff STICKS to mealies like crazy! And when I roll waxies in it and tell my leos they've got powered donuts for dessert! LOL :main_laugh:
